At our are show this year we had twelve exhibitors. The pinks divisions were well supported but there were no borders and only one solitary Pf bloom. In the pinks classes the Smith Salver for best stem went to Nev Smith, the Audrey Robinson Cup for most points in pink classes was won by Barrie Gamble, the Barbara Watkins Chalice for the best entry in classes 23-25 was won by Mrs Roberts and the winner of the Walgrave Cup for the best entry in class 26 was Graham Davis. The Westone Cup went to Mrs Roberts for the best vase of three stems of pinks. There were no entries for the Enfield Cup or the Coleman Salver. The Clarke Chalice for most points in show was won by Barrie Gamble and the Wyvale Trophy for best exhibit in show went to Mrs Roberts. My thanks to the judge, steward and everyone who helped to organise the show.     Open Classes Section 1 of the Open Classes with various stems of roses, pinks, carnations, sweet-peas and alstromeria was won by Stuart Woodford. Section 2 Floral Art was won by Marie Roberts with a lovely selection of flowers. Section 3 Pot Plant, Ann Early won this section with a beautiful Streptocarpus. Section 4 Vegetables, Ray Ingram was first with his peas. Section 5 Home Produce. A lemon meringue and marmalade won this section for Joy Hayward. Section 6 Art & Photography, a newcomer to the show, Peter Fryer won this section. Section 7. Crafts, some beautiful embroidery won this section for Hazel Hiam. Section 8. Children's Section. Nye Tomkins won this section competing against his sister. The Open Section was most successful and it was agreed to widen this part as there is no Open Craft in Northampton now. The Social side continues to be enjoyed with food always included. A curry evening, Hallowe'en is jacket potatoes plus an all day breakfast in October, a mini bus trip to the "Rainforest£ in Berkshire followed by Waterperry Gardens. Another shopping trip, this time to Walsall is coming up in November. christmas lunch is at the "Chequers" Ravensthorpe as usual. Nev Smith
